Abstract

 

This presentation provides an overview of Digital River's Data Governance and Data Quality Programs, with an emphasis on our successes in these programs. We will review how our 4- step Data Quality Program works to identify, assess, cleanse, and monitor data.

The session will include examples of how Digital River is successfully utilizing the Data Quality program in both real-time and batch mode. Also covered are aspects of Data Governance that we have in place with Dashboards and Metrics

Speaker Biography

 

Deepak Bhaskar is a Senior Manager at Digital River, the Revenue Growth Experts in Global Cloud Commerce. Digital River builds and manages online businesses for Software and Game publishers, Consumer Electronics manufacturers, Distributors, Online retailers and Affiliates.

 

Deepak has been at Digital River the past 10 years. He manages the Trillium Product relationship and leads Corporate efforts in Data Governance and the Data Quality Program. 5 years ago a Data Quality program was implemented for Batch mode activities that populated production data into an ERP. More, recently he led the Real Time integration efforts of Data Quality for Postal Address Validation on client commerce stores.

 

Deepak brings more than 15+ years of experience in Business, Engineering and IT. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering and a MBA in International Business. He is a member of DAMA and a Senior elected Member of IEEE.

 

During his tenure with Digital River, the company was selected as a finalist for a Data Governance Best Practices Award at the 2013 Data Governance & Information Quality Conference (DGIQ), which was held in San Diego, CA
