The enormity of the task facing these organizations in properly assessing and managing this risk is stymying forward motion. Rebecca Frederick is the Compliance Officer for Chex Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Fidelity National Information Services (FIS). Rebecca is responsible for regulatory compliance for ChexSystems financial services products and services, including consumer protection requirements, and complaint management requirements. Her responsibilities include managing compliance committee meetings, reporting to the Chex Systems Board of Directors, development of compliance training requirements for Chex Systems staff, and client outreach campaigns on regulatory issues.
Rebecca has worked in the financial services industry for the past 15 years. She has served as a Compliance Officer and Bank Secrecy Act Officer for financial institutions. She has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences and webinars, including state banking conferences and the recent Shared Assessments Summit.
Rebecca is an attorney and has been certified by the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB) as a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US), and as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada (CIPP/C), certified by the National Association of Federal Chartered Credit Unions (NAFCU) as a Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO), and also certified by the Consumer Data Industry Association (CDIA) in Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Compliance.
