Luminita Vollmer will present blockchain as a new approach to storing data in a distributed ledger fashion; the use case of blockchain from a data perspective.
This presentation introduces business concepts and problems solved by blockchain technology, and specifics that differentiate blockchain from bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
This session will review 6 use cases where blockchain disrupts current technologies, especially the data perspective. Interaction will conclude the session, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss and ask questions.
Luminita Vollmer is a passionate champion for Enterprise and Information Architecture with extensive experience in Enterprise Information Management has 20+ years experience as a Data Architect, Information Strategist and Analytics. Her experience spans several industries – bank insurance and finance, manufacturing, health care; she works with technology leaders and business users to bring the data and information perspective to projects and large programs in the organization.
She holds an undergraduate degree in MIS/Business/Finance from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, and an MBA from St. Thomas College in St. Paul Minnesota. Luminita frequently presents at the Enterprise Data World conference on data and information related subjects. Luminita is an active member of the local DAMA MN chapter, TwinCities Business Architecture forum (TCBAF) and Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM); she is a volunteer and board member for the Bloomington-Izumi SisterCity organization in Bloomington, MN (http://www.bloomington-izumi.org/basic.) Luminita is a CDMP and CBIP certified data architect.
