Abstract
Companies in industries like Financial Services, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Life Sciences and others are looking for a 360 degree view of their data to improve customer engagement, launch new services, enhance their supply chains, and improve their productivity. That is proving to be a real challenge as more and more data is in unstructured formats or locked in silos across the enterprise. The traditional methods of ETL processes to integrate data in relational databases is proving to be unsustainably expensive, too difficult to manage, and unable to respond to rapidly evolving needs of the business. Big Data platforms held a great deal of promise, but many data lakes turned into data swamps that were incredibly difficult to manage, govern, and secure. The cloud also has a lot of promise and usage is increasing, but so are costs at an alarming and sometimes uncontrollable rate. Finally, the world is awash with point solutions that may solve an immediate problem, but end up creating yet another siloed data source.
The presentation will discuss the industry trends that MarkLogic is seeing in financial services, manufacturing, and healthcare around digital transformation. We will highlight the technologies and practices that firms are utilizing to successfully navigating their digital transformation initiatives.
Biography
Sanjay Kuba is a Senior Account Executive with MarkLogic. Sanjay has 30 years of experience working with infrastructure, business intelligence and database technologies.
Prior to joining MarkLogic, he was with Oracle focused on their flagship database, integration, security and cloud services and worked with many enterprise customers. He started his career as the owner of a value-added technology reseller based in Minnesota and was part owner of a business intelligence consulting firm also based in Minnesota with offices in Des Moines and Dallas. Sanjay has extensive experience working with technologies from Oracle, Microsoft, HPE, VMware, Symantec, and now MarkLogic.
Sanjay has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA both from the University of Minnesota.
