10 Steps to Data Literacy: How to Develop and Foster a Data Literate Workforce
Is your organization struggling to create a data-literate workforce? Data-literate organizations are already disrupting industries, fundamentally changing consumer expectations, and service levels. For organizations simply trying to keep up, transitioning to a data-literate environment is a daunting process that requires a lot of work. Alissa Schneider, Sense Corp Data Governance Practice Leader, will examine the fundamentals of data literacy, why it’s important in today’s marketplace, and the 10 steps you can take to enhancing the data literacy in your organization.
Data Architecture for Self Service Analytics
This session will cover how self service analytics can be enabled by a modern enterprise architecture using logical data fabric, in tandem with use of a data catalog for data governance.
Biography
Alissa Scheider will present the ten steps to data literacy. Alissa is a senior leader within Sense Corp. She directs the Data Governance Practice and has served as the interim Chief Data Officer for a Fortune 1000 company. Alissa has extensive experience in data management, business strategy, implementation management, and business process. She specializes in understanding the business challenges clients face and dissecting those into manageable areas in order to drive change while maintaining focus on the client’s overall vision and goals. She fosters a collaborative environment between business and technology stakeholders to ensure successful and mutually beneficial change.
Inessa Gerber will present on Data Architecture for self service analytics. Inessa is currently director of product management at Donodo. Donodo is a self service business intelligence company. Inessa has over fifteen years of experience in the data analytics and business intelligence world. Inessa has done solution architecture, product management, and technical direction within data management.
