Abstract
Governing Master Data
Is your organization struggling with a long-term sustainable approach to privacy regulation compliance? Do you have business initiatives planned or underway for IoT, supply chain management, Big Data, or digital transformation? Take a close look and you’ll discover that all of these challenges and initiatives focus on master data elements as key attributes to source, protect, validate, and integrate. One or more Master Data subjects such as customer, employee, product, or location have been part of every business initiative since your first application was deployed decades ago. Therefore, the question is “To what degree are you governing Master Data to ensure its safekeeping and quality?”. If your answer to that question is less than total confidence and trust then this tutorial will be beneficial to you. This tutorial will share the experiences of a director-level manager/architect who led MDM programs in organizations across diverse industries for over 25 years.
Covered topics include:
- The Master Data governance landscape
- Navigating through policies and standards
- Integrating master data governance into processes
- How MDM configuration style impacts governance
- Structuring the data government
